Choosing the right wax temperature.
Surf Wax has different hardnesses specific to water temperature. Warm wax is hard so that it doesn’t melt, and cold wax is softer so that it remains sticky in cold water.
If you are surfing in the UK, we recommend Cool Wax in the summer and Cold Wax in the winter. You can, however, mix wax to achieve your desired finish. Harder wax should be applied first to ensure a long-lasting base coat, and softer wax should be added for an extra sticky grip.
